The Winn family has been thrilling crowds with their daredevil shows for nine generations and tour the country doing assorted motorcycle stunt and high wire acts.
I had the opportunity to meet brother & sister team Hans and Natalia Winn at Angel City early 2009 while they were performing their motorcycle high-wire act. If you've never caught their show it's something to see with handlebar hand stands (while driving the scooter up & down the wire!) and a complete 360 degree spin around the wire while suspended 70 feet off the ground. And there are NO safety harnesses or nets, they do it all in the finest tradition of ''old school'' motorcycle thrill shows.
Not surprising as they're eighth generation daredevils. It just runs in their blood. And they don't just put on a high-wire act, if you're lucky you may catch one of their other routines including the Ball of Death and the Spinning Hamster Cage.
The Winn Thrill show has played at too many famous events to list here, but a few of their favorites include Harley's 105th party, Roar to the Shore, Daytona Bike Week at Thunder Gulch and of course the Ringling Bros world tours.
