![]() Playing over 300 shows a year Big Engine is one of the most popular bands in the south east with 9 different CD releases and many major accomplishments over the years. Opening for big name bands like 38 Special, playing the theme song for NBC network's ''Sunday Countdown'' during the NBA play offs and having their hit song ''party like a rock star'' featured in the soon to be released film ''Bad Blood'' is all in a days work for these guys. ![]() A couple of secret upcoming projects in the new year for all our fans, we're currently working up in Nashville with Chris from Three Doors Down and Bobby from 38 Special writing songs for a new upcoming album. And we managed to snag none other than world renowned Ryan Williams mixing our new CD. Big Engine fans be advised this album is looking to be a hot one.
They're also working on a new secret project for a world tour, but are not at liberty to discuss all the details at this time. Hmmm... sounds like the secret Manhattan project of the music world. They did tell me that they plan on redoing some of their older tunes. As Tony mentioned, ''listening to some older songs recorded a decade ago you always think of some small changes you wish you would have incorporated. We're taking this opportunity to redo some of our favorite songs and re-record them along with the new material''.
The worst show we ever played was at a local bar in small town South Carolina. After traveling all day we showed up and played the gig to a crowd of five people. The bar owner came to see us after to apologize for the small turnout, mentioning that everyone in town was a the gopher festival. We laughed all the way home, joking about how we thought we were doing pretty good until we lost out a show... to gophers!Big Engine is one ass kicking band, these guys put one hell of a performance. Their music is fast and hard, and their show is always a lot of fun. This band will grab you right from the very first riff and rock you away. If you ever get a chance to go see them, don't miss it! I personally guarantee you'll love them. | ||
