2012 CHEROKEE THUNDER RALLY
The Cherokee rally lives on.
As you may have heard the old Cherokee rally is no more... but don't worry, there's a new show in town. Located at the old abandoned school.
Cherokee is beautifull. Rolling hills, winding twisty roads and a secluded little town with a huge casino once you get there, this is the place you go to get away from it all. And the world famous ''Wheels through Time'' motorcycle museum is only a short ride away and a must see on any bike lover's list. There's no camping at the rally grounds, but there are tons of small, cheap hotels and of course the Casino in town where you can spend the night. And a couple of motorcycle campgrounds less than 30 mins away.
The new Cherokee rally is outdoors in the parking lot of the old school which is actually quite large. Vendors, a main stage and a burn out pit all paved. And if the weather turns bad they can close down the main outdoor stage and simply move the bands into the old school auditorium... not a bad deal.
Foghat and Swamp da Wamp. Hell of a band line up for a first time show. Keep an eye on it, looks like it's going to turn into a good party, they've got another one planned for the fall.

RALLY GROUNDS : Located the heart of Cherokee, NC at the old abandoned school. No camping, but tons of cheap hotel rooms, Casino and motorcycle campgrounds close by. Vendors and main stage in the parking lot of the school.
