Wayyyyy down at the very tip of Mississippi in a little place called Sandy Hook you'll find the Memorial day biker party. It's on private property which is always a bonus and a real good time. Plus it's only something like 20 miles from the Louisiana border so of course a LOT of cajuns go up there to blow out for the weekend. And just in case you didn't know, them swamp boys (and girls) sure can party!

The camp grounds are pretty decent, with many RV hookups available and honest to gawd real bathrooms complete with shower stalls. A very nice sized covered stage, and a bunch of vendors out in front of it pretty well sums up the setup. They've got some new additions this year, including a giant home made slip'n slide to help people cool off.

The organization of the rally pretty well follows all the ''biker party'' rules, with an early morning poker run, some biker games in the afternoon followed by a wild contest or two and a live band. This year they had three different bands including BUTCH & 4DB, the JJ MUGGLER BAND, and PAPERTOWN. Each band played a different evenining, so you would have the first band on the first night & then so on. And unlike most biker parties, they have their contests BEFORE the band comes out & plays for the night. So on Friday night they had the ladies naked-ass thong contest, followed by a band that played more or less into the wee hours of the AM.

Like I've said before it's the rally goer's that really make a party, and this rally got some of the best people you could ever hang out with... them cajun folks are just good people. Everybody is relaxed, casual & friendly and just out to have a good time. Isn't that what it's really all about?

This is NOT a rally to bring your kids to. The gate is 21 & better to enter, and there is a large amount of nudity, naked'ness, flashing and just plain ol' partying without any clothes on going on. The stage contest's invariably end up ''skin to win'' no matter what kind of contest it started out as, and there's a general laisez faire attitude that hell, if you want to ride around with your boobies hanging out it's all good.

This party is a GREAT TIME & a LOT OF FUN. If you fed up with the ridiculous rules, insane gate fees and the law all over the place over at the gulfport memorial day blowout you really need to haul your ass down to Sandy Hook. Personally, I used to have a good time at the blowout, but in the last couple three years I can tell you the GOOD TIMES HAVE MOVED TO THE MEMORIAL DAY BIKER PARTY in Sandy Hook, MS.

Bottom line? This party is twice as much fun as the blowout, it costs only about a third as much to get in to, they don't allow kids through the gate and best of all, THESE PEOPLE KNOW HOW TO PARTY! What else could you ask for?

Next year cross off the gulfport blowout on my ''to go too'' list, I'm definately planning on being at this party instead! And if you missed their memorial day party don't worry, they've got their Labor Day Biker Party comming up the first weekend of september. I know where I plan on being, do you?
