Thunder rally 2007 (spring)
April 13-15th, 2007, Milledgeville, GA
Good times even when it rains.
I hadn't been to a thunder rally last year, so I decided to head on down and see how they were doing. I was pleasantly suprised by the decent turnout (around 3-4,000 people) and the large number of RV's at this rally, I guess that about 70% of the peeps hitting up this show did so in their RV's. Good thing they've got PLENTY of Rv parking.
These people are doing everything right, with a couple of bands and contests as soon as the sun goes down on friday night, a saturday morning poker run followed by some (topless) afternoon biker gladiator games, a bike show, bike games and of course they had more bands and contests lined up for saturday night.
The biker chick gladiator games were pretty cool, they made this big jello pit and instead of just getting the girls to simply jump in and wrestle they added a big pole over the pudding, sat the girls down on it (naked, of course) and got them to slug away at each other with pillows. First titty to fall down and hit the pudding looses. Naturally after about 10 minutes it all got out of control and pretty damn wild, just check out the pictures to see what I'm talking about.
Too bad the skies opened up and the rain started pouring down just as the sun was setting on saturday night. The main band they had booked for that evening DID try playing a bit in the rain but honestly the people just all went and holed up in their RV's so I guess after playing to themselves for a while they just gave up and called it a night... which is what everybody there pretty well did anyways.
It was still a great little party, I was just kind off dissapointed that everyone didn't party out in the rain on saturday night.

Campground Description :
Located about 5 miles south of Milledgeville, GA. Grassy camping areas, plenty of RV spaces. Showers on location, food and other vendors on location, a skinny dipping pond too cool off in on those hot summer days. Hotels available less than 10 miles away. BYOB.
Entry : $40 per person for the entire weekend. armbands must be worn at all times.
This is an ADULTS ONLY rally. ID may be required.
