Memorial Day Biker Party 2007
May 25-28, Sandy Hook, MS
Last year I had gone to the gulfport memorial day blowout as usual, only to be incredibly dissapointed. After something like 10 years going to gulfport and having a great time all of the sudden the party just turned belly up & died. Lucky for me I happened to get an invitation to attend another biker party that same weekend that wasn't too far away.
The Memorial day biker party is a great time, lot's of fun and a biker party done right. I only caught the tale end of it last year because I had wasted friday at the blowout, but this year I headed straight over to what I KNEW was going to be a great party and didn't regret it for one minute. And I ain't the only one, the entire weekend people kept rolling in from gulfport looking for a good time.
Friday night started off with a live band (Stone's Throw) and the ladies thong contest. Saturday poker run, afternoon bike games, Girls pudding wrestling, Wet tee shirt contest and the live band La Express. Sunday early morning devotional, Bike show, Slippy Slide contest, biker games and the Bikini contest with music by 4DB. All in all it was a slick, well run and fun weekend.
As you probably already know this rally used to be in Enon, LA but they've got a new campground and moved it to Sandy Hook, MS. The new location is a nice setup with lots of RV hookups, a central stage & vendors area and best of all REAL showers and toilets in permanent buildings. And of course plenty of open space for tent campers. Pretty good setup and a damn good party.
Adults Only : 21 to enter.
Entry Fee : $30 weekend pass, sunday only $20.
Bands : D.B. Bryant, Bone Dry, Blues Crab Band
Events : Thong contest, Bikini contest, Wet tee shirt contest, slip'n slide, bike games (saturday & sunday), bike show, poker run, Pudding Wrestling.
