Emerald coast bike fest 2007
April 27-29, Holt, FL
This biker party has been going strong since they first started up in 2001, and they've got their weekend at the drag strip well organised.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday features of course the drags with several different classes including pro unlimited, top gas, bracket races (run what U brung). Lot's of noise, smoke and thunder all weekend long.
Friday night they've got their ''seductive bull riding contest'', Saturday night a wet tee shirt contest. Things do get a bit crazy and wild but it's hardly an out of control rally like some of the ones I've been to. Any nudity is pretty well confined to specific locations (like around the bull) and takes place well after dark.
Also this weekend you could check out some of the bands (D.B. Bryant, Bone Dry & Blues Crabs Band), as well as a motorcycle stunt team out on the drag strip, a burnout contest & slow race, and a bike show.
The emerald coast bike fest is always a pretty good time and sort of reminds me of the gulfport blowout. Same kind of setup. There isn't a lot of shade at this rally although they do have plenty of primitive camping and day parking space.
Entry Fee : $30 weekend pass, sunday only $10.
Bands : D.B. Bryant, Bone Dry, Blues Crab Band
Events : Bike show, burn out contest, drag strip races, slow race, Ladies seductive bull riding contest and wet tee shirt contest.
Showers on location, porta potty toilets, plenty of primitive camping, food and other vendors on location. Beer.
